Changes to the quest to make it less tedious:

Note: A large part of this quest is exactly the same as the Druid Epic. The changes applied there also applies here.
Faelin spawns up on the hill behind Telin.

Changes to the weapon itself:

Damage increased.
Earthcaller grants you additional damage shield while you have a damage shield active.
